Owala just showed off their brand-new Target-exclusive Western Collection, and it is riding in tomorrow, April 24, 2026, both in stores and online at Target. These designs had recently been spotted in the last week or so at local Targets, but it’s nice to see the official announcement.

The collection includes five designs in their 24oz FreeSip model:

• Painted Canyon
• Spur of the Moment
• Studded Garden
• Midnight Rodeo
• Cowgirl Core

This drop leans fully into western details without going full costume. Instead of novelty graphics, Owala went with soft bandana prints, stitched floral motifs, desert-inspired tones, and a cowhide-style pattern that feels more elevated than cheesy.

If you like Owala exclusives that feel different from the usual core lineup, this is one to watch.

The Designs

Spur of the Moment

Spur of the Moment is the light cream-and-tan option with a soft paisley bandana print. It feels the most classic western out of the group and would probably be the easiest one to style year-round. If you like neutrals, this is the safest pick.

Painted Canyon

Painted Canyon is the pale pink option. It has a subtle tonal pattern that gives it just enough detail without making it feel busy. This is the prettiest and softest design in the collection.

Studded Garden

Studded Garden comes in a dusty blue with floral linework and dotted details that almost look like western embroidery or stud work. It feels like the most unique design in the drop and the one that mixes western and spring best.

Midnight Rodeo

Midnight Rodeo is the dark navy-and-black option with coppery mandala-style detailing. If the lighter colors are not your thing, this is the standout. It feels moodier, dressier, and a little more elevated than the rest of the collection.

Cowgirl Core

Cowgirl Core is the boldest pattern in the group. It uses a brown-on-cream western animal print that reads somewhere between cowhide and appaloosa spotting. It is definitely the loudest pick, but that is also what will make it the favorite for some people.

First Impressions

My early guess is that Midnight Rodeo and Studded Garden will probably be the crowd favorites, while Cowgirl Core will be the most divisive. Painted Canyon feels like the neutral everyday pick, and Spur of the Moment is the one for people who would’ve loved if Water in the Desert had patterns.

What I like most about this collection is that the five designs do not feel repetitive. They all sit under the same western theme, but each one has its own personality (for the most part as Painted Canyon and Spur of the Moment both use paisley in their design).

Final Thoughts
